Love, love, love the language, clarity, expression, and passion of your writing. It resonates deeply with me as a woman of the 70's and as your mom. Thank you for sharing these important thoughts.
Dear Lindsey, Once again, you've beautifully articulated that precarious balance between the medical and legal arenas in today's world. Your voice as you speak about these deeply personal experiences resonates with your readers -- and probably describes the silent journeys of many, including mine. Please continue writing because your words speak volumes. With admiration, gratitude, and love. Mary
Mary, thank you so much for your kind encouragement. It means so much to know that the private thoughts of my heart are resonating with others. Much love.
I learned the term "missed abortion" at twenty-five. I was 16-20 weeks along. It was so strange to me since we so wanted that baby. It never set well with me. The baby had died and that was the cold, hard fact.
I can't bring myself to "like" this, Linda, but I'm grateful for your sharing. There's so much about pregnancy and pregnancy loss that seems unknown until you're in the middle of it.
Oh my gosh. Of course you were. I didn't realize/understand how those words had been applied. I'm so sorry this was part of your experience. Both the loss and the language.
Love this. You have beautifully woven your views with your personal journey.
The kicker....the ending line. IT - IS - POWERFUL!
Thank you, Tracy!

Love you, Mom!

I think you missed my point. The words “ missed abortion” were used when the baby spontaneously died. I was devastated!
Oh my gosh. Of course you were. I didn't realize/understand how those words had been applied. I'm so sorry this was part of your experience. Both the loss and the language.
